North Lake Tahoe Ski Leases

The ski season is surprisingly close and Agate Bay Realty has over 25 north and west Lake Tahoe ski leases to choose. The ski leases are located between Kings Beach and Tahoe City and range from budget to luxury, many are dog/pet friendly, and get leased from either December 1 to May 1 or from January 4 to May 4.  View the available ski lease homes and cabins. November Property of the Month

The Property of the Month for November is the Harrington Pet Friendly Vacation Rental. The home has 5 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and features vaulted ceilings, rock fireplace, extra family room downstairs, spacious kitchen and can accommodate up to 11 guests.   The vacation rental is centrally located between Kings Beach and Tahoe City and is close to skiing (10 miles to Northstar, 14 miles to Alpine Meadows, and 16 miles to Squaw Valley).

Ski Leases for 2012/2013

We have posted all of our north and west Lake Tahoe ski leases on the website.  Ski leases are 4 to 5 month winter leases (Dec 1 to May 1 or Jan 5 to May 5). By leasing the home or cabin for the entire season guests can leave their equipment, groceries and other conveniences.  Many of the properties have hot tubs, dog friendly, lake views and more. Our rental inventory goes from Kings Beach to Tahoe City and down the west shore. The rental homes and cabins are centrally located to Kings Beach, Tahoe City, and are close to Ski Resorts, Cross Country Skiing, and Snowshoeing.

The large master bedroom has a small patio, bathroom, and a small office area. The downstairs is where the living room, kitchen and dining room are located and they are all open to one another for easy conversations. SnowFest in March

Every spring since 1982, North Lake Tahoe comes alive with ten fun-filled days and nights, jam packed with events and activities for all ages. This year, the annual favorites will be back, along with a host of great new ones! This year SnowFest runs from March 1-11, 2012.

On and off the mountain, at North Tahoe's numerous resorts and vibrant lakeside neighborhoods, there's something for everyone. Enjoy on-snow events at resorts like Squaw Valley USA, Alpine Meadows, Homewood, Diamond Peak, and Northstar-at-Tahoe; Participate in special events, parades, races, parties, concerts, theater; and of course, there's plenty of wining and dining to be had at North Lake Tahoe's fine restaurants and lively establishments.

Xterra Tahoe City Triathlon

North Tahoe is the adventure center of North America in the summer. Another example is on June 25th, north Lake Tahoe will host the XTERRA Triathlon. XTERRA Tahoe City is an off-road triathlon that celebrates the natural environment of the North Shores excellent terrain, trails and blue water. XTERRA Tahoe City’s swim occurs in one of the clearest, cleanest, and deepest lakes in North America, Lake Tahoe. Depending on the lake level, the long course includes a 50 meter beach run. The openness of Lake Tahoe makes for a truly open water swim experience. Tahoe City is also home to some of the area’s most treasured mountain biking trails. The biking section starts with a strong climb, continuing on to take riders through fields of wildflowers, and breath taking sierra views. The trails are faster than they are rocky, but the climbs and elevation will test ones fitness level. The start and finish is at Commons Beach. There will be an after party so plan to have some fun after a hard day of racing. Agate Bay Realty has some lodging options including discounted vacation rentals available for the triathlon weekend.
