The wooden boat show will now be held on Father's Day weekend, June 17-19, instead of early August. The summertime event, among the most popular in the Sierra, is being moved because it conflicts with other regional events, and the area will be less busy, curtailing traffic, among other reasons. The premier wooden boat show in North America will now be the opening boating event of the summer, and the true kick-off to the wooden boating season on Lake Tahoe. Again this years dates for the Concours d'Elegance are June 19-21, with Wooden Boat Week running from June 18-24. Indeed, it was incredibly inspiring to behold the craftsmanship and beauty of the wooden boats on display.
